Catching the bad guys...

Sometimes you just get caught without the book you're reading and end up with a lot of time on your hands...like yesterday. I'm at the doctor with my son without the book I'm currently reading...what's a girl to do??? I looked in my car and the first book that caught my eye was Nancy Drew: The Secret of the Old Clock. We were there long enough that I almost read the entire book!

First of all, Nancy drives around in a convertible. Yes, a convertible! She doesn't have a GPS system or a cell phone but STILL manages to catch the bad guys...how you ask??? Good old fashioned sleuthing! Pick up one of her books and let me know what YOU think!

Until the next time a book catches my eye! Valerie ;)

Cows, cows, and more cows!

Hello all! I am Michelle, a 6th grade teacher, and I am excited to talk about the book I am reading this week! Going Bovine by Libba Bray is the book I am currently invested in. And by invested I mean it's a super long book. I have to stay that this book has lived up to my high expectations. It's witty, sentimental, and for this Louisiana girl, hits close to home.
Quick summary: Sixteen year old Cameron has always been different. His mom and dad hardly talk to him and his sister refuses to acknowledge he exists. This all changes when Cameron starts to see things. Weird things. He also receive cryptic messages in the form of feathers. Cameron believes it was just some really bad pot, but finds out it is something way deeper. Cameron must go on a journey to find a cure. That's all I am saying because I can't give away anymore.

Oh, Romeo...no, wait, oh Juliet!!!

Hi! I'm Valerie and I'll be blogging about books that catch my eye...

The book that caught my eye today was The Juliet Club by Suzanne Harper. I can't wait to start reading it! Yes, I did see the recent movie about the letters people leave to Juliet, and yes, this book is based on the same thing!
